It’s been two weeks since I was told I’m cancer free

It’s been exactly four weeks since my last chemo treatment and two weeks since my oncologist said the cancer is gone. Now it’s just a matter of trying to get back to some sort of normal.

I’m starting to get my energy back. I still sleep longer than I wish I needed to, but on the plus side I’ve been able to keep somewhat normal office hours during the week which I haven’t been able to do since treatment started.

My sense of taste is also starting to come back. There’s a lingering metallic taste after most meals, but the actual taste of most foods is as I remember them.

And I’m starting to grow hair again! You have to look really, really closely but it’s starting.

Again I want to thank everyone that has walked through this season with us. Your prayers, your service, your love have been instrumental during all of this.
