Todd Fields on developing worship leaders to be their authentic self and calling out gifting in others

He may not have realized it at the time, but Todd Fields was created to create leaders. Whether it was with Louie Giglio at 7:22, at North Point Community Church in Atlanta or now with the mentorship ministry he started called Worship Circle, there are countless worship leaders in the world that wouldn’t be who they are today without Todd pouring into them little by little. This conversation is about how over the years Todd has helped others be their authentic self, realize who they are in Christ and calling out their giftings, and how it’s easier than you think to pour into the people around you as you lead your ministry.

Worship Circle is a growing community of worship leaders who are discovering the power of leading from a place of being fully alive in our identity, truly known by others, and sharpened in the skills necessary to lead well. Together with friends such as Christy Nockels, Kim Walker Smith, Paul Baloche, Jeremy Riddle, and Meredith Andrews, it is their joy as seasoned leaders yet still learning to walk beside you in this mentoring community where you will learn from their mistakes and triumphs, be loved by peers just like you and be sharpened in the skills needed to lead in the power of your authentic identity.

Applications are being taken now for the April 2019 term. Find more at worshipcircle.com.

And in the meantime, check out the Worship Circle Podcast hosted by Todd Fields. The link below will allow you to subscribe on the Apple iTunes platform, but you can find the podcast wherever you listen to podcasts. Just search “Worship Circle.”

One of the products that Todd mentioned in the episode is MultiTracks.com. This is a site where you can download stems from all of your favorite worship songs, and it’s something I personally use to help supplement the live band on stage.

But another great service that MultiTracks.com offers is RehearsalMix. This can be linked directly in Planning Center, and now the musicians in the band can listen to their parts as they prepare for the Sunday service.

The product of the month is Coresound Pads. They have dozens of pads in a variety of sounds that will easily make your band (or just you and your acoustic) sound more full. Their iOS app is what I think sets them apart and makes setting everything up a breeze. Here’s a link to their app where you can demo all the packs in the key of D.

You can buy bundles from their website and save 20 percent each time when you use the promo code “PRACTICAL.”

Recently, I've created a video series on YouTube called Starting Over. It's my way of documenting my journey as I start at a new church after being at my previous church for over five years.
